Foton Cummins adopted ERP management for the whole company, and in order to incorporate the ERP system into the production system, they also establish an MES system, so that the whole production system can seamlessly match with the management system perfectly. With the implementation of MES, the execution of the production flow is totally standardized, with each stage and step kept in stringent protocol, thus the production flow is much more efficient.

 With a rugged aluminum front panel for 17" TFT LCD display, a stainless steel back housing and two expansion slots for add-on cards, the IPPC-9171 was designed according to humanized craft design ideas and can handle the most difficult operation environment for industrial application.

System Description

The IPPC-9171G is an Industrial Panel PC with support for Intel Pentium 4 processors to meet the high-demands MES applications. With a 17" high-resolution color display, it's the major component of the MES system. The IPPC-9171G is a rugged unit with an aluminum panel, tempered glass, 17" TFT LCD, a stainless steel structure and two expansion slots. The IPPC-9171G is rugged enough to handle the toughest industrial operating environments. With optional mounting accessories from panels to racks, it can be mounted almost anywhere.

The computer is connected to other devices in the system with various interfaces, including: serial ports, two expansion slots, LAN ports and the port for power input. All these are located in the rear there by saving space, and the use of a rugged aluminum front panel with stainless steel rear housing achieves a lower disorder rate.

Conclusion
