pcieIf your lab or production facility contains a number of machines, it's often a requirement to collect and analyze data from these machines for the purposes of improving performance, enhancing quality and predicting failures before they occur. Although you may be able to do this at each individual machine using its automation system, it often makes more sense to send data from multiple machines to a single PC located in a control room for centralized monitoring.

The most cost effective way for the PC to receive and process this data is through plug-in data acquisition cards, allowing one PC to monitor many machines. Once the data is collected at the PC, it can be stored and analyzed using a variety of PC-based software packages or custom software programs.
