pro_USB4718Today's PCs are powerful enough to perform a multitude of tasks including data acquisition, storage, and analysis.  The challenge is interfacing a PC to the industrial sensors typically found in manufacturing plants and doing so with simple plug-and-play components.

Many of us have found the USB interfaces on our PCs to be convenient and easy to use, so perhaps the simplest way to bring industrial sensor data to a PC is through a USB port.   Advantech provide a wide range of USB DAQ modules to help you do just that, with a number of features needed in industrial installations.

The USB DAQ modules are powered via the PC and the USB interface, so no external power is required and hot swapping is allowed.  They are designed for DIN-rail mounting and have detachable screw terminals for easy installation. Unlike standard USB PC connectors, these are lockable for a strong and secure connection.
